About Nik
Nik Macey (b. 2002) is an artist and writer working in London. Nik’s practice spans many mediums including painting, drawing, print and writing. Noticing small moments in a busy world is key in Nik’s practice, and she is currently working on some exciting projects inspired by London. As an insider in London’s art scene, Nik is uniquely situated to thinking critically about the art world and its flaws; this forms the basis of her journalistic writing- reviewing exhibitions, interviewing artists and experimenting with language. Currently studying a master’s degree at the Royal College of Art, Nik is constantly researching and thinking about issues within the art community and wider society; her research interests include accessibility, feminism, civil rights, and art as activism.
